DLP Family Fun Day donates cash to charity

Friends of Danetre Hospital will be presented with a cheque for more then one thousand pounds.

Fundraising efforts at the Daventry Learning Partnership’s Family Fun Day held back in June raised £1,329 for the local hospital. Event organisers will be making a special cheque presentation to hospital representatives on Thursday 23 July.

Senior IT Support Analyst and DLP Fun Day organiser Nick Devereux said, ‘We raised the money through raffle ticket sales and other fundraising initiatives at the event and we are very pleased to have raised so much. Friends of Danetre Hospital was chosen because it’s a popular local charity. As the DLP is committed to making a positive contribution to the local community, it was a perfect choice.’

All four DLP partner institutions (Danetre School, Moulton College, Northampton College and William Parker School) were involved in the event held on Saturday 6 June. Almost 3,200 people attended.
